[ Billy went looking for Kimberly but she wasn't in her room, and Billy being Billy, he didn't think to try texting her so he just leaves a note. In blue marker, of course. ]

What if I got another pet and named it after Trini?

[She catches that message on the way back from making an ice cream run at the youth center, and she diverts her course from her room and makes her way over to Billy's room, knocking lightly on the door frame before speaking.]

What kind of pet were you thinking?

[cranston]

[ Billy's chilling in his room listening to music when she knocks, but he turns the music off to speak to her, preferring to focus on one thing at a time. ]

Oh, hey. I dunno, a bird maybe? A little yellow one.

[meanestgirl]

[She nods a bit as she makes her way in a little further.]

That would be cute. Or maybe a cat. Trini's always kind of reminded me of a cat.

[Introverted, mercurial, but will scratch your face off if you try to hurt her favorite humans.]

[ Billy can see that. But... ]

Which do you think would be easier to keep as a pet?

[meanestgirl]

[She gives a small shrug.]

Probably the bird. It wouldn't be as easy for her to fly away and get lost. Cats are definitely built to roam.

[ He thinks. While Kimberly has a point that Trini is like a cat, he doesn't want the cat to run away and get lost or hurt. ]

I'll probably do a bird, then.

[meanestgirl]

[She nods in agreement.]

Good plan. Birds as just as good, just make sure you get a good cage.

[cranston]

What kind of cage is a good cage? Like... a big one?

[ He looks over to his desk, where Zack the turtle's tank is already taking up a good amount of space. ]

[meanestgirl]

[She tips her head to the side.]

I think that depends on the size of the bird. I just mean one they won't be able to escape too easily and get hurt in an event.

[cranston]

I don't think Trixie would be a big bird. She's pretty little.

[ So she probably wouldn't need a very big cage. ]

[meanestgirl]

[She nods.]

That's true. So yeah - you should be okay. Then Zack can have a friend.
